After 23 years as an agent, Peter J McManus understands what works in the real estate business, and what doesn’t. Born, bred and educated in Southport Queensland, Peter has fond memories of his early years on the Gold Coast and in late 2012 will return permanently to live with his wife Sophie, daughter Elizabeth and son James. James will attend Peter’s old school, and Elizabeth the sister school. Peter left the Gold Coast not long after completing his schooling at The Southport School to move with his Mother to her native Sydney. In 1990 Peter commenced his real estate career and worked in the exclusive Eastern Suburbs of Potts Point and then on to Double Bay.  In 1993 Peter opened his own agency at the age of 23 in one of Australia’s most expensive and exclusive suburbs, Mosman, on Sydney’s Lower North Shore. The agency was named McManus Real Estate and in late 2010 existing staff purchased the business. At one stage, Peter had over 20 staff including 12 sales people working along side him. After seeing his father a success as a Holden Dealer in Southport (Peter McManus Holden during the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s) Peter Jnr took to real estate with the same gusto and passion. Whilst developing his skills in negotiation, client management, marketing strategies and sales strategies, Peter studied at Western Sydney University and holds a certificate in Real Estate Agency and Management including Auctioneering along with a Stock and Station Agency Management certificate. The focus of any successful real estate company has to be the valued client. They must be treated to service they rightfully deserve.
